Boneless chicken breast is one of the easiest things to cook in the oven. It’s also one of the most versatile, as it can be prepared in a variety of ways. You can grill it, fry it, bake it or broil it—the choice is yours! Just remember that while boneless skin-on chicken breast has a richer flavor than its boneless counterpart, both require different cooking times because they’re different cuts. Boneless skinless breasts are leaner than their skin-on counterparts and don’t have much fat on them to keep them juicy during cooking. This means you need to cook them longer (and at lower temperatures) so they don’t dry out before reaching 165 degrees F internally

If you’re not sure how much is enough, start with less than you think will fit on top of each piece; then add more if needed.
Bake for 20 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
You can use this method to bake any type of boneless chicken breast, including whole or halved breasts. The cooking time may vary slightly depending on how thick your meat is and what size pan you use, but it should still be between 20 and 25 minutes.
If you’re nervous about undercooking or overcooking your meat, use an instant-read thermometer to check the internal temperature before removing from the oven. When cooked through (165 degrees F), take out of oven and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing into strips or cubes for sandwiches, salads and other dishes.
