Prep Time: Quick and Easy!

This recipe is a breeze to make, so let’s get started. Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and have your trusty nine-by-five-inch loaf pan at the ready. You can line it with parchment paper for easy removal or grease it with butter and flour. Either way, you’re good to go.

Gather Your Fall-Spiced Ingredients

In a large bowl, sift together 1 ¾ cups (210 grams) of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, ½ teaspoon of salt, and ½ teaspoon of baking powder. Now, for the best part – the spices! Add in 1 ½ teaspoons of cinnamon, ½ teaspoon of allspice, ¼ teaspoon of ground ginger, and ¼ teaspoon of ground nutmeg. Trust me, grinding your own nutmeg is worth it for that extra burst of flavor.

Mix and Match the Wet Ingredients

In another large-ish bowl, combine ½ cup (120 mL) of vegetable oil, ⅔ cup of sugar, and ½ cup (100 grams) of packed brown sugar. Give it a good stir until it resembles a glorious granita. Now, add in two large eggs and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Whisk it all together until everything is well incorporated.

Time to add the star of the show – 1 ⅓ cups of pure pumpkin puree. This magical ingredient adds moisture and creates a cake-like texture that is simply divine. Don’t forget to add ⅓ cup of whole milk (or your preferred liquid).

Bring It All Together

Now, carefully pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients. Use a whisk to gently combine the two, being careful not to overmix. The batter should come together nicely, with the inviting aroma of fall spices filling the air. Grab a spatula to ensure everything is fully incorporated.

Bake to Perfection

Transfer the batter into your prepared loaf pan and smooth it out with the spatula. Pop it into the preheated oven and let it bake for about an hour. After 40 minutes, you can loosely cover it with foil to achieve a moist and golden top.

To know if it’s ready, simply touch the center of the bread – it should spring back. You can also insert a skewer into the middle; if it comes out clean, your pumpkin bread is good to go.

Pure Bliss in Every Bite

Once your pumpkin bread is done, let it cool for a bit before slicing into it. Then, prepare to be amazed by how it melts in your mouth. The flavors are simply perfect – warm, comforting, and oh-so-delicious. Trust me, you’ll want to make this recipe again and again.
