Mcdonalds Recipe For Chicken Nuggets

Welcome to my kitchen, where I’m about to share a secret recipe with you. You know, McDonald’s has introduced a new meal called the “Sweetie Meal,” inspired by rapper Sweetie’s favorite items. It includes a Big Mac, chicken nuggets, fries, and a Sprite, accompanied by sweet and sour sauce and tangy barbecue sauce. When I first heard about it, I immediately craved McDonald’s.

Instead of heading out like a regular person, I decided to take matters into my own hands and recreate these delicious chicken nuggets at home. And guess what? You can do it too! Let’s dive into the recipe and get cooking.

Ingredients and Preparation

To start, you’ll need boneless, skinless chicken breasts. The recipe calls for three, but if they’re large like mine, two will suffice. Dice them up and blend them in a food processor or blender. Next, add an egg and a pinch of salt to the mixture.

Form the chicken mixture into nugget shapes and coat them with cornstarch. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the coated nuggets on it. Now, it’s time to prepare the batter.

Combine one cup of water, a tablespoon each of garlic powder and onion powder, two tablespoons of mustard (adjust according to taste), and a cup of flour. Whisk it until you achieve a runny, yet slightly thick, batter. Dip the nuggets in the batter and return them to the parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Freeze them for an hour to firm up.

Homemade Sweet and Sour Sauce

While the chicken nuggets chill, let’s make some sweet and sour sauce. In a blender, mix half a cup of apricot jam, two tablespoons of corn syrup (golden or white works), and five teaspoons of rice vinegar. Add a combination of cornstarch, garlic powder, and salt. For an extra kick, include half a teaspoon of yellow mustard and soy sauce. Blend everything until smooth.

Transfer the sauce to a small saucepan and add two tablespoons of water. Heat it on high until it thickens. Lastly, add a tablespoon and a bit of pickle juice to enhance the flavor. Allow the sauce to cool in a separate bowl.

Cooking the Chicken Nuggets

Now that the chicken nuggets have chilled, it’s time to fry them. Heat up some oil in a pot until it starts bubbling when a wooden spoon is inserted. Carefully lower the coated nuggets into the hot oil and cook them for about six minutes until they turn golden brown. Fry them in small batches to avoid overcrowding.

Once cooked, remove the nuggets from the oil and sprinkle them with a pinch of salt for that authentic McDonald’s taste. Serve the crispy homemade chicken nuggets with the delightful sweet and sour sauce.

Voila! You’ve successfully recreated McDonald’s chicken nuggets in the comfort of your own kitchen. They taste remarkably similar to the real deal, and the sweet and sour sauce perfectly complements them. Give this recipe a try and stay tuned for more secrets from my kitchen.
